Health Update

Church Family,

The FBC staff appreciates your prayers and support during this "new normal." As we continue to seek the Lord, we want to communicate the following updates:

Reopening Survey

While we are looking forward to resuming our in-person gatherings, your safety is our first priority. Taking this survey will help us as we continue planning the reopening of our building. We appreciate your response!

Drive-Thru Missions Offering - May 11 from 4-6 pm

On Monday, May 11, we will host a contactless Drive-Thru Missions Offering from 4-6 pm at the Family Life Center. We will be accepting checks and canned goods to support local missions during this time of affliction. From the safety of your car, you will be able to drop off your checks (no cash, please) and/or canned goods into a secure container. Then, a member of our church will pray with you from a safe distance. This offering will assist local ministries (Need Line, Soup for the Soul, and the Murray Calloway County Homeless Coalition) in meeting present needs in our community.

Children’s/Youth Ministry Drive-Thru - May 12 from 12-1 pm

On Tuesday, May 12, our children’s and youth ministries will host a contactless drive-thru from 12-1 pm at the Family Life Center. Rachel and Jon Kyle are so excited to see you and your children. From the safety of your car, your families will receive a treat bag.

Summer Calendar

As more regulations are released in the coming weeks, we will make decisions about July. One thing to note with our May/June calendar is that most events have an online component or online backup plan. It will be crucial to monitor our Thursday Updates and Facebook page for more updates.

Instrumental Concert

Our traditional music minister, Mike Rose, is planning an online instrumental concert. If you play an instrument and would be willing to participate, email Mike at We will let you know soon when the concert will be streamed.

Church Librarian Applications

We are accepting applications for the church librarian position. You can find the job description and application on our website. The application deadline is Monday, May 18.

Sharing Needs

As this unprecedented situation continues, we know our church can come alongside those who are struggling with needs of all kinds. If you or someone you know can be assisted by First Baptist, please fill out the form on the home page of our website.
