First things first. Next week, Thursday, May 29th, 10:00 a.m. Bring sandwiches or finger foods. Fellowship Hall. Put on your most comfortable working clothes. Let’s have more than enough of our group to help our VBS leaders get ready for one of FBC’s biggest events for our children—VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL. When they finish their final program, your hearts will say “I had a little part in that wonderful program!”
Folks, our trip to Nashville and the cruise on the General Jackson was great. I hope when we have our next meeting we can tell everyone something about it.
Another possible future trip is to Branson, MO to see “Noah the Musical” which we understand is a real winner. Cost of the show is $46.55 plus your lodging and meals and maybe another show. Let Wilma or Durwood know if you are interested.
FBC and our members, committees, and leadership are really making progress in our efforts to accomplish the things that our Lord has instructed His churches to do. Let’s keep this in our daily prayers.
FROM THE PREZ...
Just calling to your attention...for our senior members, there will be a Senior Scam Jam at the Curris Center Wednesday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. highlighting mail fraud, home improvement fraud, investment fraud, identity theft and predatory lending. There will be a free lunch. This program is financed by AARP, Kentucky Office of Financial Institutions
and the Kentucky Attorney General. There should be mention of this in the Ledger & Times. Registration is required. To register call 1-877-926-8300.
Love,
Roy
