Dear Parent/Guardian,   

     First Baptist Church is so excited about the music our children are learning at Outrigger Island that the children have been asked to sing a song from VBS next Sunday morning in 8:30 and 10:45 worship services.  That evening at 6:00, the children will present the “Outrigger Island Experience”—a concert of the music and Scripture they’ve learned this week.  

     We are hoping your child/children will be part of this great opportunity to lead worship through their music.  The music presentation will be followed by a free “luau” meal in the Fellowship Hall across the street.

     In order to prepare for the concert, our wonderful VBS Music Director, Mrs. Amy Brown, has planned a rehearsal Friday afternoon immediately following VBS.  We will provide lunch for children planning to participate in the concert, and then rehearse from 12:30-2:00 p.m.  Children can be picked up in the sanctuary at 2:00 p.m.

     But first, we need to know if your child/children will be singing with us Sunday morning and Sunday night and rehearsing with us Friday.

     Please fill out the permission slip below and return it to your child’s VBS teacher tomorrow, Wednesday, or email your response to  sharon.siebold@fbcmurray.org  before noon Thursday.  Thank you for helping us know how many to cook for and how many singers to make room for on the platform!
